Health Risk Assessment

The key to reducing health care costs is prevention. One hundred years ago, the major health concerns were infectious diseases like tuberculosis, pneumonia and influenza. Today, our leading causes of death, heart disease, cancer and stroke, are due in large part to our own unhealthy lifestyles.

The Advantage Wellness HRA shortens the route from assessment to treatment by partnering assessment technology with health management services. The result provides employers and consumers a complete, integrated, health management solution.

We offer a unique online approach to health assessments and health assessment services. Rather than the traditional method of “pay per assessment”, Advantage Wellness offers unlimited use of not only our assessments, but also our individual wellness portal, for an entire year, for every employee and spouse. On-line access and traditional paper/pencil assessment methods are available. Our individual risk assessment provides individuals with a guide to identify those behaviors that put them at risk for accidents or illness that if modified can increase the probability of a longer, healthier life. The risk assessments provide measurable actionable information based on medically valid precursors (weight, tobacco use, diet) and statistically valid scoring algorithms.

Once risk behaviors or conditions are identified - based on information gathered during the health risk assessment process, individuals are directed to a corresponding program. Participants can access health coaches by telephone or online and receive assistance with weight management, smoking cessation, stress management, exercise and fitness, pre and post natal care, and chronic conditions such as asthma, back pain and diabetes.
